How do I set up/change/cancel an appointment?
Simply call the office number and press '201' to speak with the receptionist. To maximize available appointment slots, please try to cancel 24 hours in advance.
How do I get to Nemechek Health Renewal?
Our office is conveniently located in the midtown area of Kansas City just 1 block north of the intersection of Broadway Blvd. and Westport Rd. To gain access to past the front door security system, simply press '# 500' as instructed on the security key pad located to the left of the door. Our receptionist will answer via the 2-way speaker box and will buzz you in.
Do I have to pay for my visit at the time of my appointment?
Copayments are expected prior to each visit. If your share of cost is prohibitively high to pay all at once, speak with Nichol (extension 215) about our interest-free installment plan.
How much is my co-pay?
Copayments generally range from $2.00 to $40.00. Inquire with your insurance company or ask for assistance from our receptionist if your are uncertain or we would be glad to inquire on your behalf.
How can I get a prescription refilled?
Please call your pharmacist and ask them to fax a prescription request to our office at 816-756-0120. We then receive a type written prescription request from the pharmacy clearly specifying the medication, dosage and quantity require thereby avoiding any dangerous medication errors.
How can I find out results to my tests?
We will call all patients with any significant laboratory abnormalities. Patients are informed of normal laboratory results by mailed 7-14 days after of your appointment.
What do I do in an emergency after hours?
You can contact Dr. Nemechek directly by dialing 1-913-486-6042. If you require urgent assistance, go directly to the emergency room, and have the ER physician contact Dr. Nemechek after your arrival. Dr. Nemechek has medical admitting privileges at Overland Park Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas and St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.
